OILDALE, Calif. — Here's your chance for members of the Oildale community to get free supportive services. Saturday North Heights Baptist Church is hosting their free Revive Bakersfield Outreach Event.

The event will be held at North Beardsley Park on Airport Drive in Oildale from noon until 3 p.m. Saturday. During the event members of the community will have access to free health screenings, job placement assistance, college enrollment assistance, addiction assistance and haircuts. There will also be inflatable fun for children, live music and free lunch for everyone to enjoy.

Mark Taber, who is an elder at North Heights Baptist Church, said, the purpose of Saturday's event is for the community to help support their neighbors with a focus at trying to reduce homelessness and crime in their community. They also want to provide a hand up to those in their community who want to help themselves.

Taber also said their church is partnering with the Brother's Keeper motorcycle group. And their motorcycles will be on display to add another element to the free event.
