BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — White Forest Nursery, located on 300 Morning Drive, is inviting the community to use their gardens during the coronavirus pandemic, provided everyone practice social distancing.

The nursery said it is open Sunday through Tuesday and Thursday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

"With hourly sanitation of public surfaces and 5 acres of open-air, the nursery is a very safe place to shop," nursery officials said.

Starting this week they will also be giving away free seed packets to kids from Friday through Tuesday to help kids keep learning while at home.
