Congratulations to Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost — they’ve tied the knot!
The couple wed in an intimate ceremony in late October, and the official announcement came from an unexpected place: the Instagram account for Meals on Wheels America, an organization that works to prevent hunger and isolation among senior citizens across the country by providing them with meals.
“We’re thrilled to break the news that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost were married over the weekend in an intimate ceremony with their immediate family and love ones, following COVID-19 safety precautions as directed by the CDC. Their wedding wish is to help make a difference for vulnerable older adults during this difficult time by supporting @mealsonwheelsamerica. Please consider donating to celebrate the happy couple by clicking the link in our bio,” the Oct. 29 post read.
How thoughtful! On Twitter, Meals on Wheels wrote that they were “so happy to be a part of their special announcement!”

Oscar nominee Johansson and “Saturday Night Live” Weekend Update host Jost dated for two years before getting engaged in May 2019. In October, Johansson told Ellen DeGeneres that her fiancé “killed it” when he proposed with “a whole James Bond situation.”
“It was surprising — he’s got a lot behind that news desk he’s hiding,” she joked. “He’s very charming and very thoughtful and romantic. But yeah, I was surprised. Even if you kind of imagine what that moment’s gonna be like, it’s still a beautiful moment.”
The couple met when she hosted “SNL,” and on Halloween night, Jost was wearing his new wedding ring when he appeared in Weekend Update. Co-host Michael Che even made a joke about the wedding.
While their marriage is the first for Jost, Johansson has been married twice before. Her first husband was actor Ryan Reynolds (September 2008 to December 2010), and she was married to Romain Dauriac, with whom she shares a daughter Rose Dorothy Dauriac, from 2014 to 2017.
In May 2019, a source told People that Jost and Johansson had bonded over having a similar sense of humor, including a shared love of sarcasm.
“Scarlett likes Colin’s sarcasm and wit,” the insider said. “They share a love for acerbic humor and outrage at social issues gone bad. They have much in common.”
Congrats to the happy couple!
