Love movies and need some Friday night plans? Friday night Spectrum will be hosting its weekly Movies in the Park event.

Tonight they'll be screening The Lego Movie: The Second Part at Greystone Park on Mountain Vista Drive. The film follows the citizens of Bricksburg as they face a dangerous new threat when Lego Duplo invaders from outer space start to wreck everything in their path.

The Lego Movie: The Second Part features the voice talents of Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, and Tiffany Haddish. The movie has an 85% rating on the site Rotten Tomatoes and has brought in over $191 million at the box office. This event is free and open to the public.

And you are welcome to bring your picnic gear, lawn chairs, and blankets. The event is put on by Spectrum and the city of Bakersfield and it happens every Friday beginning at dusk at various parks through the summer.
