BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield College softball and baseball teams opened up their seasons on Friday.

Softball began with a double-header, facing off against Mt. Sac and San Mateo College. In game one, they lost 15-1 and were blanked in game two 9-0.

Baseball took on Feather River and lost a lead after the fourth. They dropped the game 6-2.

Both teams are in action at home on Saturday with softball playing at 2 p.m. and baseball at 6 p.m.
