BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Following their big win, Bakersfield Christian High School is scheduled to hold a football rally this week.

Students, staff and community members will be able to celebrate history on Thursday at 9:45 a.m.

The BCHS football team won its first state football championship, defeating the Rancho Cotate Cougars 42-21 on Saturday night.

This was the football program's first-ever state title and the school's second overall. The school's girls volleyball team won a state championship in 2008.
