Big wins around Kern County in playoff volleyball

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — High school volleyball postseason continued Thursday night with many of the Kern County schools advancing to round two of their respective divisions.

Frontier rolled through Tehachapi, winning three sets to one. The Titans began the first set on a 6-0 run and didn't look back from there.

Centennial took on cross-town rival Bakersfield in the Division 1 bracket and swept the Drillers 3-0.

Other teams to advance to the next round are Frazier Mountain and Rosamond in D5. Cal City, Mira Monte, Highland and Porterville all picked up wins in D4. Liberty joins the Golden Hawks in the D1 second round and Frontier, Bakersfield Christian and Stockdale all advnace in D2.
