The California Department of Public Health released guidelines detailing the future of youth and adult recreational sports.

Sporting events between teams will not be allowed until the end of January at the earliest.

Inter-team competitions, or competitions between two teams, will not be allowed in the state until January 25, 2021, at the earliest.

This is based on the guidelines they have outlined on their website.

The return-to-competition date will be evaluated on Jan. 4, based on California disease transmission trends.

Officials say it will be subject to change at any time based on the level of transmission in the state.
