BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Bakersfield Christian High School football team is a win away from making history in Kern County.

After destroying Sunny Hills High School in the Division 3-A CIF SoCal Regional bowl game 42 to 21, the Eagles will play in the 3A CIF Championship.

BCHS got it done on every side of the ball, scoring at will on offense, returning a touchdowd on a muffed punt on special teams and creating two turnovers on defense.

Before this team, just two others from BCHS have made it to the state title game, but no one has won it.

They'll take on Rohnert Park-Rancho Cotate on Saturday, Dec. 14 at a site in Northern California.
