BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — With the temps dropping, the competition was heating up as we enter week nine of the high school football season.

In our Friday Night Live: Game of the Week, the Bakersfield Christain Eagles were on the road at Rigeview. BCHS was upset, Darren Carr's first league loss, by a final of 36 to 22.

The Kennedy Thunderbirds were looking to stay undefeated while playing the McFarland Cougars. The top team in the S-S-L ran through McFarland 44 to 12.

The Bakersfield Drillers were looking to keep the wins coming against Frontier. That's exactly what they did, taking this game 34 to 20.

Highland High had the tough task of holding off the Foothill Trojans, they did just that winning 49 to 8.
