BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County volleyball regular season has come to a close after Thursday night's contests. The two teams who had the most on the line were the Liberty Patriots and Stockdale Mustangs. Both teams picked up wins and secured spots as co-champions of the Southwest Yosemite League with 9-1 league records.

Liberty was looking for its fourth straight league championship following an outright league win last season going undefeated in the SWYL.

Bakersfield Christian went a perfect 11-0 in the South Yosemite League, Mira Monte locked up the Southeast Yosemite League with a 9-1 record and Arvin was crowned the South Sequoia League champs with a perfect 12-0 record.

The CIF will seed the schools by next week and playoff matches will shortly follow.
