Local NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick may have finished 20th over the weekend at Daytona, but he still went home a champion.
Over the weekend, drivers were out at Daytona for the final regular season race of the year.
It was the Coke Zero Sugar 400 and maybe it was because he had nothing to gain, but Harvick ended up finishing the race 20 with William Byron taking the checkered flag.
Although he didn't win, Harvick did take home some hardware. NASCAR presented Harvick with the regular season championship.
Harvick finishing the regular season with seven wins and secured the number one spot in the playoffs.
It's the first time in his career that he's taken he won the regular season championship.
The playoffs kick off next Sunday at Darlington.
