BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The fifth ranked Liberty Patriots were hosting No. 12 Clovis East in round one of the Division I Central Section Playoffs.

The Patriots struck first and didn't let it go. They win 2-1 and will play again on Friday in the quarterfinals.
