BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A local Bakersfield gymnast won the Future Stars National Championships in the 11-year-old age group.

Troy Holman, 11, who trains at American Kids Sports Center competed at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO on Friday and placed first. With his win, Holman is named to the Junior National Team. This is his second straight year on the team, placing second in the same competition last year in the 10-year-old age group.

Holman perfromed in nine competitions in route to his win.
