After a two year absence from postseason play the Bakersfield College baseball team is rolling. Today the Renegades won 3-0 over Long Beach City College to take their best of three series and move on to round two of the playoffs in the Southern California Regional.
Austin Toerner, a freshman from Golden Valley, pitched a complete game shutout allowing just 5 hits all afternoon. Hanz Harker was 3-4 at the plate including a double in the 5th to score Kyle James to make it 2-0.

Friday BC took game one by a score of 5-2 thanks to starter Hudson Hartley who picked up the complete game win.
Bakersfield moves on to round to to play either #18 Riverside or #1 Saddleback. Riverside took game one of their three game series 5-3. If they win one of the next two games BC would get to host their next series.
