The Bakersfield Condors are preparing to follow up two preseason wins against Stockton with a season opener victory on Friday.
The American Hockey League program is set to feature more talented prospects than its previous seasons and under the leadership of new head coach Jay Woodcroft, that could mean more competitive hockey here in Bakersfield.
The Condors open the season against the Heat at Rabobank Arena on Friday night for its 21st season of play and fourth in the AHL.
