Less than 24 hours after Liberty beat Bakersfield 27-24 to win the Southwest Yosemite League, the CIF announced the two teams would be set for a rematch.

The Patriots earned the #4 seed and will host #5 BHS on 11/17 in the Division I quarterfinals. Ridgeview, playing in D-I for the first time, got the #10 seed and will travel to face #7 Clovis on Thursday November 9th.

There will be another SWYL rematch in D-II. #4 Garces will host #5 Frontier on 11/17. The Rams won their previous meeting 17-7.

Bakersfield Christian will look to defend their D-III title with a #3 seed and a first round bye. #12 South @ #5 Tehachapi, #13 Fresno @ #4 Independence & #10 West @ #7 Highland round out the games featuring Kern County schools.

In D-IV, North (#6) will host #11 East after beating Highland 21-14 to spoil the Scots perfect season and earn a share of the Southeast Yosemite League. #10 Wasco will travel to face #7 Delano.

Shafter earned the highest seed in Kern County (#2) after an 8-2 season and a 47-7 season ending win over their biggest rival Wasco. It was their first win over the Tigers since 2007. Kennedy will host Fowler on 11/17.

Rounding out the Kern County schools, #6 Cal City will travel to #3 Riverdale & #2 Rosamond will host #7 Sierra Pacific. Burroughs finished the year 8-2 in D-IX & will learn their opponent Sunday afternoon.
