Condors win big to open the 2018-19 season hosting Stockton Heat

The Bakersfield Condors hosted the Stockton Heat Friday night to start 2018-19 regular season play. 

The Condors took an early lead when Cameron Hebig scored his first pro goal during a power play in the first period. 

During the second period, it was Patrick Russell who took it to the net for a score. 

Russell was quickly followed by Caleb Jones and Tyler Benson, each scoring in the second. Condors further their lead 4-0.

The Condors not stopping there! Still, in the second period, the score jumps once again as Mitch Callahan puts it in the back of the net during a power play not once, but twice. 6-0 Condors.

Before the period can end, Patrick Russel makes his second score of the night. 7-0 Condors at the close of the second. 

At the start of the third, Condors still on fire putting it in the net once again. 8-0 Condors. 

The Stockton Heat making their first appearance on the scoreboard with 15 minutes left in play. 8-1 Condors. 

In the end, there was no stopping the Condors. They take the win 8-1. 

The Condors play at home Saturday against the San Jose Barracuda. The puck drops at 7 p.m.
