CSUB volleyball came into the Roadrunners Classic, 3-6 after a nine game road trip. They faced off against UCSB and won 3-0.

This was a battle between the 2017 WAC Champions and Gauchos from beginning to end.

The 'Runners took the first set, 25-20.

Then went into the second behind freshman Brooke Boiseau and sophomore Desiree Sukhov with six kills a piece. They won the set by ten.

The 'Runner offense stayed dominant, but the defense also made an appearance. Boiseau and senior Briannah Mariner combined for twelve blocks.

CSUB swept the Gauchos in three.

“I think everybody was on and it hasn’t before. Hitting wise we were doing well. We’re passing the ball well, we’re serving well. I thought we did a good job in pretty much every aspect of the game,” said head coach, Giovana Melo.

The Roadrunners will be back in action Friday night at 7 p.m. to face Montana.
