The Diamond City Minors Junior Roller Derby team ended the month of June with their third straight national championship. Once the team landed back in Bakersfield from Loveland, CO, they made a stop at 23ABC to reflect on their win in a live interview with sports director Kari Osep.

The Minors went to Colorado as the top seed in the JRDA standings and battled through three opponents before claiming the championship.

The team is created of players from the ages of 18 and under, meaning this team could continue to do some special things for their sport and city for many years to come.
