The Bakersfield Condors released the following statement:

The Bakersfield Condors, owned by the Edmonton Oilers, announced that eight names have made the cut as finalists for the team's new superhero mascot which will join Colonel Claw'd and Baby Cal as leaders of the Condors Army.

Voting is available on www.BakersfieldCondors.com and will run through the team's home preseason game on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m.

Condors mascots make hundreds of appearances each year at schools, hospitals, and charitable events putting smiles on kids faces. Kids love mascots and superheroes which makes this new addition to the Condors Army a win-win.

- Fuel

- Gusher

- Octane

- Ollie the Oil Drop
