Our FNL player of the week from the Central Sectional quarterfinals is Bakersfield's Carl Jones.
The senior transfer is making the most of his time as a Driller and made the most of his first experience playing in a sectional quarterfinal.
Jones rushed for two touchdowns and was on the receiving end of another in the Driller's 51-25 win over Bullard. He didn't stop on offense, he'd return a kickoff for 60 yards, a play that would later turn into another six for BHS. And, he finished with an interception during the game as well.
Jones is grateful for the opportunity Bakersfield and his coaches have given him and he will continue to make the most of it, hoping to contribute to another win on Friday that could send the Drillers to the D-I Central Section championship game.
