This week's female athlete of the week is McFarland's freshman cross country runner Hilda Gonzalez. 

Quiet and softspoken, Hilda is "like a stick of dynamite" when it comes time to compete. The freshman ran alongside former athlete of the week Dede Salcedo in the Sanger Invitational before pulling away to win by more that 20 seconds.
