Jacob Lightner, future soldier, shares why the U.S. Army All-Star Bowl is so special

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Kern Valley's Jacob Lightner will be trading in his football uniform for some Army fatigues in the near future.

The fullback/linebacker reflects on how special playing in the 2019 U.S. Army Bowl All-Star Bowl will be as he'll play in his final high school football game and share moments with friends and family before shipping out in July to Fort Benning in Georgia.

Lightner rushed for 508 yards, 5 touchdowns and collected 25 tackles during his senior season.
