Every young ballplayer dreams of stepping onto a professional field and swinging for the fences. Saturday a group of local kids got their chance.

The Bakersfield Train Robbers invited the kids to take their field with them for hitting, fielding, throwing, pitching and baserunning practice. Ballplayers ages 6 to 17 got to take part in drills, games and other baseball related fun. 

Those who registered got a free ticket to the Train Robbers games after practice to watch them battle the High Desert Yardbirds.
