BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Former Driller and NFL defensive back, Michael Stewart, made his return home to Bakersfield official on Thursday during a formal introduction on campus.

Stewart looks forward to passing along the lessons he learned on the field at BHS to his new players in his first head coaching gig and is grateful for the perspective he can share with the team having been in their shoes before.

“Having been on that field, walked this campus, it gives you a unique experience,” Stewart said.
