BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — In this episode of 'Runners Recap, Kari Osep talks with Cal State Bakersfield basketball head coach Rob Barnes about the importance of winning close games and the confidence boost that the 74-72 victory over Montana State was for this young team.

They also discuss how a number of players are battling through injuries this time of the year and what the final year in the Western Athletic Conference will mean to the team, while Coach Barnes also mentions some of his greatest gifts during this Christmas season.

The 'Runners will be playing two road games at Cal Poly and Texas Tech before opening up conference play in the beginning of the year.
