BAKERSFIELD, Ca. — Seven local boys basketball teams have advanced to the Central Section semifinals after clinching victories in the quarterfinals on Friday night.

The semis are set for Wednesday with a tip time of 7:00 p.m.

Division One:

No. 6 Bakersfield beats No. 3 Arroyo Grande, 57-56

Division Two:

No. 4 Independence beats No. 5 Porterville, 53-50

Division Three:

No. 8 Chavez beats No. 1 Mt. Whitney, 75-69

No. 5 Garces falls to No. 4 Dinuba, 47-42

No. 6 North beats No. 3 Sanger, 69-57

Division Four:

No. 1 BCHS beats No. 8 Madera South, 75-39

No. 5 Mira Monte falls to No. 4 Kerman 65-47

No. 3 Foothill beats No. 6 Taft, 92-55

Division Five:

No. 4 Cal City beats No. 5 Fowler, 79-78
