The U-T's Kevin Acee reported that while an agreement was reached, the Chargers will still have to decide whether or not to make the move to the Los Angeles area.
Earlier this month, the NFL allowed the Rams to relocate to the Los Angeles area and gave the Chargers the option to join them. Owner Dean Spanos has until January 2017 to decide if he will relocate the team.
On Thursday, the Chargers announced that they had acquired land in Santa Ana that would potentially be used for a team headquarters and practice facility.
