BAKERSFIELD, CA. — Out of 19 Kern County boys basketball teams that were seeded in the Central Section playoffs, only nine teams have advanced to the quarterfinals following byes or surviving the opening round.

Here are the teams who will be playing in the next round on Thursday.

Division One:

No. 8 Mission Prep at No. 1 Bakersfield

Division Two:

No. 10 Hanford West at No. 2 Independence

N/A at No. 3 Centennial

Division Three:

No. 8 Tulare Western at No. 1 Bakersfield Christian

No. 7 Cesar Chavez at No. 2 Garces

No. 5 North at No. 4 Sanger

Division Four:

No. 7 Liberty M/R at No. 2 Delano

No. 14 Yosemite at No. 11 South

The quarterfinals will take place on Thursday with start times at 7 p.m.
