BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — In this episode of 'Runners Recap, Kari Osep talks with Cal State Bakersfield basketball head coach Rod Barnes as he summarizes the 2020 season that abruptly ended during the WAC Tournament due to COVID-19. He also talks about how the program plans to leave the Western Athletic Conference before making the move to the Big West Conference.

Since the beginning of this early offseason, the 'Runners saw a lot of changes including Associate Head Coach Jeff Conarroe leaving for a head coaching gig and some of the players transferring from the program, Barnes also discusses all of those transitions and their impacts on the team moving forward.
