The Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio officially begins Monday, but people will likely be making their way there this weekend.

That's when the best weather of the convention will be happening.

It'll be dry all weekend and temperatures will be more comfortable, staying in the mid and upper 70s on Saturday and making their way into the low 80s on Sunday.

By Monday, however, hot, humid air and a front moving across northeastern Ohio will bring a good chance for some dark and stormy weather at the beginning of the convention — read into that however you'd like.

The weather is likely to smooth out by Tuesday and Wednesday, making way for another couple of pleasant weather days as the sunshine returns and high temperatures are close to 80 both days.

Next week's hot weather appears as if it'll hold off until everyone is leaving northeast Ohio. By then, temperatures are expected to jump closer to 90 degrees.

The weather this weekend and next week across northern Ohio isn't anything out of the ordinary.

Northern Ohio in mid-July typically sees temperatures in the low to mid 80s and some occasional thunderstorms when the heat and humidity build up.

It just so happens the politicians, their supporters and the reporters will get a little taste of all of that during their stay in northeastern corner of the Buckeye State.
