(KERO) — As people hit the road to visit loved ones this week, the California Highway Patrol is encouraging everyone to focus on safety.

According to a CHP press release, officers will be out in full force starting Wednesday evening.

Officers will be looking for all unsafe driving practices like speeding, seat belt violations, and signs that a driver might be under the influence.

All available CHP officers will be on patrol until Sunday evening.
