Although Sunday was November 1st, it sure didn't feel like it! Afternoon highs ran about 10 degrees above seasonal. Temperatures will continue to remain above average through Thursday. Winds remain light through most of next week.

The National Weather Service issued an air quality alert that will expire at 5 p.m on Monday. Kern County air quality is expected to get worse by Monday, with an AQI of 108. This is considered unhealthy for sensitive groups.

We can expect a change in weather patterns by next weekend as a trough of low pressure impacts most of California. Temperatures will drop into the 60's, running around 10 degrees below average for this time of year. Winds are also expected to increase during this time.
