The first heatwave of the year continues.
Bakersfield hit 102° on Monday, the fourth consecutive day in the triple digits.
A high above 100° is expected for Tuesday, and Wednesday will be near 100° as well.
Cooler weather is on the way, though.
By Thursday highs will drop back into the double digits, with highs near 90° expected in the Valley for the weekend.
The KRV will drop back into the 80s this weekend, with 70s in the mountains.
