Memorial Day weekend starts warm, but cooler air arrives soon.
Valley and desert areas will be in the mid 90s Saturday, with highs near 90° in the KRV, and near 80° in the mountains.
If that's a bit warm for you, coastal areas will be much cooler during the holiday weekend, with highs in the 60s to lower 70s.
Temperatures will fall a few degrees across Kern County on Sunday, and again on Monday.
By Memorial Day Valley areas will be below 90°, with low to mid 80s in the KRV, and low to mid 70s in the mountains.
Temperatures will continue to fall through Tuesday and Wednesday.
As the cooling trend persists, periods of breezy winds are likely, especially in the afternoon and early evening hours.
