Expect this fog to continue through mid-week. A dense fog advisory has been extended through 1 p.m. on Monday. Visibility is ranging from 200 ft to 800 feet, making travel very hazardous during this time. Fog will remain at a level five for much of the San Joaquin Valley, causing the highest risk for chain reaction car crashes.
Air quality remains unhealthy for those sensitive groups on Monday, with an AQI of 102. Monday is also the start of Winter, but we can expect a slightly warm one! Seeing those 60's for much of the Valley.
Looking into later in the week, dry conditions will prevail through at least Christmas day, wet weather may return by next weekend. Expect above average temperatures for the week ahead, mainly seeing those 50's to 60's.
A system to the North of us could bring gusty winds to the Kern County Mountains and Desert by Tuesday afternoon through the evening hours.
