Friday will be the warmest day of the week in Kern County.
Valley highs will be in the upper 90s to right around 100°, with triple digits in the desert, 90s in the KRV, and mostly mid 80s in the mountains.
Cooler weather will arrive this weekend.
By Sunday temperatures will be about 10° cooler than Friday countywide.
The cooler air will bring stronger winds, too, which may increase fire danger.
Temperatures look to hold fairly steady to begin next week.
