The warming trend continues throughout the region as we saw temperatures into the 90's in parts of Kern County, reaching the hottest temperatures that we've seen all year.

Temperatures will drop starting Sunday through Monday as a weak cold front passes through the area. This may bring some gusty winds in the mountain and desert communities. But even with this slight cooling period, we will still remain in the high 80's.

Temperatures will continue to stay above average throughout next week and reaching back into the 90's by Wednesday. With this dry weather, brings moderate air quality to the region with an AQI of 71. Temperatures will start to cool back down starting next weekend.
