A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service for the Sierra, North of Kings Canyon Park. Snow accumulations will range from 6-11 inches above 7,000 feet on Monday morning, before tapering off in the evening hours. We are expecting rain mainly in the Northern part of the San Joaquin Valley on Monday, about 1/10 of an inch. We could see some very light precipitation in the Kern County Mountains on Sunday and Monday evening.

This storm system will also bring gusty conditions in our Mountain and Desert communities on Monday. We are also seeing an increase in cloud coverage, and possible morning fog throughout the San Joaquin Valley.

As for our seven day forecast, we can expect slightly above average temperatures, mainly in the 50's to 60's. We will be tracking a second storm system mid week.
