Breweries keep popping up around Kern County. The beer is being sold at restaurants or bottled for purchase, even out of county lines. Lengthwise Brewing Company has become a feature in the Bakersfield community. Not only do they brew, they offer creative food options to pair with a nice cold beer.

Jada Montemarano visited the brewing site to see how beer is made from start to finish. Lengthwise even creates flavored beer with all natural ingredients like grapefruit and coffee beans.

After taking a tour of the brew house, Jada tried some of the creative dishes on the food menu. From "stinky" fries, to spicy fries, to fries with mac and cheese, french fries seem to be the go-to option at Lengthwise. But there are other comfort favorites like burgers and clubs. Many of the items are even homemade like the breads for sandwiches, the mac and cheese, and even the tri-tip is smoked in house!

There are three locations around Bakersfield to enjoy a beer and a meal! The main brewing location, which is also a restaurant and bar, is located at 7700 District Blvd.
