California City Police is investigating the disappearance of Phillip "Pete" Hammond as suspicious.

Hammond, 52, was last seen by family members on July 4 at his home in California City and was reported missing on July 26, police said.

Cal City Police found Hammond's abandoned car in a remote area north of California City. 

Police said on Thursday that his disappearance is now considered suspicious and foul play may be involved.

Police said there is a $10,000 reward for anyone who has information on Hammond's disappearance.
