Danielle Karlen died in April when the shed she was living in caught fire; ruled a homicide

A coroner's report released Tuesday ruled 23-year-old Danielle Karlen died from smoke inhalation and thermal burns when the shed she was living in on Beardsley Avenue caught fire in April.

Karlen's death has been ruled a homicide, though no suspects have been linked to the case.

Family of Karlen spoke with 23ABC today and asked for the community's help in identifying suspects so they can have closure to the death of Danielle.

KCSO says the investigation into the homicide is ongoing. Kern County Fire said the investigation into the fire is ongoing as well.
