UPDATE, 4:52 p.m. -- Robertson didn't appear in court today since he was causing some sort of disturbance outside of court, KRDO-TV reported. He's scheduled to be back in court Tuesday.

Humphrey appeared in court and is scheduled to be back in front of a judge on Sept. 6.

The judge did not talk on Monday about whether to extradite the couple back to California, KRDO said.

The pair was arrested last week after a nationwide manhunt. Police say they're behind the murder of Humphrey's sister, Kimberly Harvill -- whose body was found in Gorman two weeks ago -- and the kidnapping of Harvill's three children, later found safe in New Mexico.
