The Kern County Coroner said that Garcia died from multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of his death is homicide.

Officials initially said Garcia died from a single gunshot wound.

The Kern County Sheriff's Office has identified a man who died following a shooting in Wasco on Monday morning.

KCSO said they were called out to the 800 block of Highway 46 in Wasco. They found Jose Ascencion Garcia with a single gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made. KCSO did not have any suspect information.
