BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — After an hours-long standoff Tuesday night in Northeast Bakersfield, the Kern County Sheriff's office has taken a man into custody.
The Kern County Sheriff's Office responded at about 6:50 p.m. to a call for "unknown trouble" at a home on Crawford Street.
When deputies got there, a Hispanic man allegedly discharged a gun in what's being described as a "negligent manner."
The suspect soon barricaded himself inside the home leading to a standoff that ended just before 11 p.m.
KCSO has not yet identified the man, other than saying he is 26 years old.
