BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Deadly and devastating wildfires are burning out west, forcing hundreds of thousands of people to evacuate. There are as many as 100 large fires raging throughout the west which have burned more than 5 million acres in the past few weeks and destroyed countless homes and communities.

The Red Cross has mobilized a massive relief effort across these states to ensure that our neighbors have food, shelter and comfort.

23ABC is teaming up with stations up and down the west coast to help those families in need by hosting this Day of Giving for Western Wildfires.
