Country music singer Josh Turner has released a statement on Facebook concerning the death of one of his crew members in a bus crash.

"As I try to write this I don’t know what to say. It’s a struggle to put into words the devastation and grief that our road family is trying to process," said Turner in the statement. "We lost a beloved member of our team, David Turner. He was like a brother to so many in this industry and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Please continue to keep David’s family in your prayers."

On September 18th, a tour bus from Turner's concert at Vina Robles Amphitheater crashed off of Highway 46 near Shandon. One person,later identified as sound engineer David Turner, was killed in the crash. David Turner was reportedly not related to Josh.

Turner was scheduled to perform at the Kern County Fair. However, the singer canceled the appearance following the crash.

Turner went on to say in the statement "Your prayers have been felt. Please keep praying."
