BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A local charity wants to make sure those healthcare workers helping fight the spread of COVID-19 are getting cared for and getting fed.
"Food for the Frontline" is raising funds to support local restaurants and emergency room staff impacted by the coronavirus. By working with the Kern Community Foundation, Food for the Frontline will provide meals to Kern County emergency room staff prepared by local restaurants.
The meals will be purchased and delivered with the support of community donations. Even a small donation will help feed medical personnel on the frontlines and provide assistance to the small businesses and employees impacted by the statewide quarantine.
Each meal will cost $20 and you can make donations here.
