BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office has identified a woman who died on September 29th in Weldon. According to the KCSO, 35-year-old Nicole Breann Welch of Piute Mountain Road died after a physical altercation.
The cause and manner of her death are still under investigation.
Around 6:40 p.m. on September 29th, KCSO deputies were called out to 5500 Piute Mountain Road on reports of an assault. When they arrived, fire and medical personnel were already on-scene performing life-saving measures. However, Welch was pronounced dead at the scene.
